Ariane C "We went to Beer 2Ku for a couple of drinks on a Sunday evening. The staff were very attentive and there was a really fun atmosphere. The resident DJ was also playing some great hits, so all round a pretty fun place to escape the heat and relax in Hanoi"

David H "Stopped here for a cold drink and a feed, looked good, nice and quiet for about ten minutes then the stereo was turned up full noise and you couldn't here yourself think!

The place from the front looked OK, the menu and prices looked OK but the place wasn't clean and the service was slow so I finished my drink and went else where.

Chris B "We entered Beer 2kU with high hopes, it appeared, at least from the outside to have good vibes and a strong playlist. The menu was also equally promising; offering a wide selection of western, local Vietnamese dishes, and even a section for those of a vegetarian orientation. 

The first signs of things to come however, came with the initial trip to the 'lavatory'; a slimy substance covered the entirety of the floor, emitting what can only be described as a torrid aroma. 

Still optimistic, however, we got onto the subject of ordering. Beer was surprisingly cheap, and other beverages reasonably priced. Drinks arrived promptly and we begun what would become the ordeal of ordering dinner...

The token vegetarian of the group went first, and ordered Vegetable Fried rice, this however, was where things started to take a turn for the worse. Apparently, the restaurant was unable to provide ANY of the vegetarian dishes listed. They were however, unexplainably, able to offer fried vegetables and rice as separate dishes. 

We pressed on, I, myself attempted to order chicken and fried noodles. Although, yet again, this simple dish seemed to be too much for Beer 2KU. The waiter informed us that the only meat available that day was beef. Even the seafood, options of which occupied a large portion of the menu, were inaccessible. 

Eventually, food of some nature was ordered. The fried vegetables, consisting entirely of pak choi, was as you can imagine on the bland end of the spectrum. The fried noodles and beef was, surprisingly, actually rather edible, albeit with the addition of a large bottle of soy sauce. 

The beef steak which arrived, I do believe consisted of 90% rubber. Then to conceal this monstrosity of a 'steak' the entirety was covered in a completely inedible sauce. My fellow travel companion had to rely completely on the average-to-poor chips to provide any sort of sustenance. 

To conclude;
Beer2KU had so much promise, but through a combination of atrocious service, an utterly pointless list of dishes which they do not provide and near-on inedible food... I can say categorically it was a terrible, terrible experience. One that I would wish on no one. "
